Choose your CPS test duration
CPS (Clicks Per Second) is the number of click events received during the selected interval divided by its duration. Use the result for personal practice and same-setup comparisons. Browser scheduling, device behavior, and clicking technique can affect it.
Repeating the same duration can establish a personal baseline and show whether your results are consistent. A higher CPS value is not automatically better for comfort, productivity, device health, or game performance.
Examples of games or exercises where people may choose to practice rapid clicking:
Keep these conditions the same when comparing attempts:
There is no universal good CPS score. Compare your own repeated attempts using the same duration, device, browser, and clicking method. Very rapid clicking can be affected by browser event handling and device debounce behavior.
Practice regularly with proper finger positioning, use alternating fingers (index and middle), maintain a relaxed grip, adjust your mouse sensitivity, and ensure your mouse and mousepad are optimized for speed.
Five or ten seconds is a common starting point, 1-3 seconds emphasizes a short burst, and 30-120 seconds creates a longer clicking exercise. Start with 5 seconds and adjust based on your goals.
The page counts click events received by the browser during the selected interval. Browser scheduling, background load, device behavior, and clicking technique can change the result, so compare several runs under similar conditions.
