How the local report workflow works

1. Complete a supported test

Save becomes available only when that tool has enough browser-observed information or a completed valid result.

2. Save in this browser

The report stores a limited summary and observations under one versioned site-storage key. It does not create an account.

3. Copy, download, or print

Copy a plain-text summary, download the individual JSON record, or use the browser's Print / Save as PDF flow.

Supported report sources

  • Mouse Button Test
  • Scroll Wheel Test
  • Double Click Test
  • Mouse Polling Rate Estimate
  • Keyboard Ghosting Test
  • Reaction Time Test
  • Mouse CPS Test

The combined Mouse Tester is not included until its broader session data can be mapped without saving raw movement trails.

What reports exclude

  • Typed text and raw keyboard sequences.
  • Complete pointer trajectories or continuous coordinates.
  • Names, email addresses, account identities, or contact details.
  • Advertising identifiers, analytics identifiers, or cookies.
  • Claims of certified hardware condition, warranty status, or official diagnosis.

Frequently asked questions

Where are reports stored?

They are stored in this browser profile's site storage. They are not uploaded by the report feature or synchronized to an account.

Why did reports disappear in another browser or device?

Each browser profile has separate site storage. Private browsing, clearing site data, automatic browser cleanup, or changing devices can remove or hide local reports.

Is Print / Save as PDF a certified report?

No. It opens the browser's ordinary print flow. The resulting document is a user-saved troubleshooting record, not an official diagnostic, warranty, or repair certificate.

What happens after 20 reports?

Saving a new report keeps the newest 20 and removes the oldest report from this browser. Download JSON before reaching the limit if you need a separate copy.
